About Copper

Copper is a London-founded digital asset infrastructure company that helps banks, asset managers, trading firms, exchanges and ETP providers custody, settle and move digital assets. It launched in 2018 with MPC-based custody built for institutions; its MPC technology means no complete private key is ever created, and governance controls prevent any single person from moving assets alone. In 2020 Copper launched ClearLoop, an off-exchange settlement network that connects custodians, prime brokers and buy-side institutions with trading venues, later extended to BitGo and Komainu and integrated by Coinbase International Exchange. Copper expanded globally after a Series C round led by Tiger Global and Barclays. It cites $500m of insurance arranged with Aon and Lloyd's of London insurers, a SOC 2 Type 2 attestation and ISO 27001 certification.
