About Breez

Breez is a Lightning Network software company founded in 2018 in Tel Aviv by Roy Sheinfeld, Roei Erez, and Yaacov Akiba Slama. It builds non-custodial bitcoin and stablecoin payment tools that developers can embed in apps and services. The Breez SDK is designed for fast integration so products can send and receive Lightning payments without taking custody of user keys. Breez earlier shipped a consumer Lightning client with point-of-sale features and helped popularize the Lightning Service Provider model. Its stack is aimed at wallets, neobanks, remittances, social apps, and other products that want instant bitcoin payments. Breez is venture-backed, including an early investment announced by Fulgur Ventures.
