1 video covering Lantern, including interviews, analysis, and Bitcoin industry commentary.
Podcast interview with Lantern co-founder Jung Kim about collateralized digital-asset lending, including Bitcoin-backed loans.
Lantern Finance is a US crypto lending and trading platform that lets customers borrow US dollars against their crypto without selling it, and buy and sell crypto with dollars in the same account. Loans need no credit check, carry interest-only monthly payments and can be repaid at any time without penalty. Lantern accepts 16 collateral assets, each with its own maximum LTV and rate; bitcoin loans allow up to 50% LTV at 8%, and a 2% upfront fee is taken out of the loan amount. Collateral is held by BitGo, a US qualified custodian, in offline cold storage with insurance coverage of up to $250 million, and Lantern says it never lends out borrower collateral. Lantern is a FinCEN-registered money services business (NMLS #2732930) founded by PJ Prince Jindal and Jung Won Kim.
