Sequans Communications S.A. is a Paris‑based semiconductor company founded in 2003 by Dr. Georges Karam that designs cellular 4G/5G chipsets and modules for the Internet of Things (IoT).

In 2025 Sequans launched a formal Bitcoin treasury program, using proceeds from equity and debt offerings (and cash from operations) to acquire and hold bitcoin as a corporate reserve—starting with an initial 370 BTC purchase and publicly describing a plan to accumulate more than 3,000 BTC; the company has continued to add to its holdings in subsequent purchases.

Sequans is led by founder Dr. Georges Karam (Chairman & CEO), supported by an executive team that includes Deborah Choate as Chief Financial Officer and senior leaders responsible for technology, operations and corporate strategy.
