About DigitalX

DigitalX is an Australian blockchain technology and investment company founded in 2014 as a bitcoin mining operation and billed as the world’s first publicly listed blockchain technology company; at its peak the mining business controlled over 2% of network hashing power. The firm has since evolved into digital-asset fund management, product development (including real‑world asset tokenisation) and a corporate Bitcoin treasury, and it launched the DigitalX Bitcoin ETF (BTXX) in 2024 to give investors regulated exposure to Bitcoin. DigitalX was co-founded by Zhenya (Eugeni) Tsvetnenko and Alex Karis and has grown into a listed asset manager and blockchain product developer. On the leadership front, Lisa Wade was appointed CEO in 2021, later resigned in 2024, and the company has used interim CEOs (including Greg Dooley and subsequently Demetrios Christou) while it continues to develop its funds and product lines.
