Alto (AltoIRA) was founded by Eric Satz out of frustration with the slow, paperwork-heavy process of using an IRA to invest in alternatives; the firm’s mission is to make alternative investments accessible to everyday investors.

Alto offers a CryptoIRA that lets investors buy, sell, and trade 250+ cryptocurrencies via an integration with Coinbase, with digital assets maintained in institutional custody at Coinbase Custody Trust Company and IRA custody services provided through Alto Trust Co.
