Grayscale launched the Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) in 2013 as the first publicly traded Bitcoin fund in the US, later converting it to a spot ETF in January 2024. It also offers the Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust (BTC), a lower-fee alternative.
